Native Field Advertising Case Studies: 12 Campanhas Affiliate & Media Buying Native Advertising Case Studies: 12 Live Campanhas Decoded No vendor public PR, no undetectable ROAS: 12 campanhas nativas ao vivo — Domain.com.au, Flight Centre, Fisher Investments, search-arbitrage farms and more — decodificado a partir de dados de captura observáveis: longevidade, conjuntos criativos, redes e captura.

O OpenAdLibrary Team Advertising Public Intelligence & native advertising pesquisa

A pegada cross-rede permanece invisível.

A variante de ângulo de beleza da marca DTC é a variante premium "Most People Use Lotions. Koreans Do This Instead (It's Genius)" em Taboola (12 dias na captura) e uma variante de crepe-skin da mesma fórmula no MGID. O takeaway: escala horizontal no selvagem

Run the same analysis on your competitors

Every campaign above was decoded with three moves you can repeat: search the advertiser, sort their creatives by run time, and open the captured landing pages. An ad intelligence platform built on live capture makes that a ten-minute exercise — start from a brand name, see every network they buy, and put them on a watchlist so the next angle they validate shows up in your feed instead of your blind spot.

For picking which advertisers deserve the attention, the patterns in best performing native ads and the network-share view in top native advertisers by network are the shortlist builders.

No vendor PR, no unverifiable ROAS: 12 live native campaigns — Domain.com.au, Flight Centre, Fisher Investments, search-arbitrage farms and more — decoded from observable capture data: longevity, creative sets, networks and funnels.

The OpenAdLibrary Team Ad intelligence & native advertising research

August 20, 2026 · 6 min read

Most native advertising case studies you will find are vendor marketing: a network publishes a success story with unverifiable numbers and a happy quote. This piece takes the opposite approach.

Below are 12 live campaigns observed in OpenAdLibrary's index of 725,000+ native creatives across 49 networks (July 2026), read through the signals that are actually public — how long each campaign has run, how many creatives it fields, which networks it buys, and what its funnel is doing. No invented ROAS, no "client X saw 400%": every number here is observable capture data.

How to read a campaign from the outside

You cannot see a competitor's dashboard, but four public signals reconstruct most of what matters:

Longevity. Native CPC billing means a creative that runs for weeks is a creative someone keeps paying for. Run duration is the strongest public profitability proxy available.

Creative volume. How many live variants an advertiser fields shows testing investment and which angles got scaled versus cut.

Cross-network footprint. The same angle appearing on two or more networks means it survived a proof stage somewhere and earned an expansion budget.

Funnel structure. Whether clicks land on an advertorial, a lead form, a quiz or a cart tells you the campaign's economics.

What stays invisible: spend, conversion rates, and margins. Methods for bounding the first of those are in how to estimate competitor native ad spend; this article sticks to what capture data shows directly.

1. Domain.com.au — celebrity real estate on Taboola

Australia's property portal runs editorial-style Taboola creatives: "Inside television star's $9.1 million payday" (7 days at capture) and "How much it costs to be Taylor Swift's neighbour revealed" (freshly captured). The play: celebrity-gossip hooks pull feed clicks into the portal's own content, which converts readers into property-search users.

The takeaway: a mainstream brand borrowing the curiosity mechanics of arbitrage publishers — with its own inventory as the monetization layer.

2. Tri-Lift — one formula, two networks

The beauty DTC brand runs "Most People Use Lotions. Koreans Do This Instead (It's Genius)" on Taboola (12 days at capture) and a crepe-skin variant of the same formula on MGID. The takeaway: horizontal scaling in the wild — validate a hook on one network, then duplicate it across networks rather than squeezing more budget into one auction.

3. Health Weekly — an authority-hook portfolio

One advertiser, one formula, many conditions: "Cardiologist: 2 Veggies Will Kill Your Belly Fat Overnight!" on Outbrain (22 days), "Surgeons: This Simple Trick Will End Knee Pain" and duplicate captures of "Endocrinologist: If You Have Diabetes, Read This" on Revcontent. The takeaway: advertorial operators scale by swapping the condition, not the structure.

When you see one of these ads, search the advertiser — the portfolio teaches you the formula faster than any single creative.

4. SmoothSpine — proven angle, cheaper inventory

The sciatica device runs "Why Your Sciatic Nerve Won't Heal (What Most Doctors Miss)" on Outbrain (10 days) and a longer-form variant of the same angle on MediaGo (21 days). The takeaway: mid-tier networks as margin expansion — once an angle is proven on premium inventory, the same funnel gets cheaper clicks on secondary networks.

5. Flight Centre — visible price testing on Teads

The travel retailer fields four price-led variants in our Teads capture set: a $45-per-day motorhome offer, $359 New Zealand holidays, and two Queenstown family-ski creatives identical except for the price — $5,299 versus $5,999. The takeaway: that last pair is a live price-framing test you can watch from the outside. Creative sets often expose experiments advertisers think are private.

6. Georgetown University — education lead gen on premium native

Three Georgetown creatives sit in the Teads sample: a master's program with "Apply Now, No Fee," a cybersecurity leadership angle, and a thought-leadership piece for PR professionals (8 days at capture). The takeaway: premium native as a B2B-style channel — content-first creatives feed application funnels, and the "no fee" concession does the direct-response work politely.

7. Perpetual Ad Tech — B2B on consumer native

Three MGID creatives from one B2B advertiser: "The $950 Audit That Shows Where Your Marketing Loses Money," "Paying An Agency $3k/Month? A Machine Does It For A Flat Fee," and "See Exactly Where Your Business Bleeds 12 Hours Every Week." The takeaway: contrarian channel selection. Consumer native inventory is cheap, and specific-number B2B hooks ($950, $3k, 12 hours) filter the audience the targeting cannot.

8. Loop of Now — search arbitrage at industrial scale

Seven creatives in our MediaGo sample from one operator, all New Zealand cost queries: four "House Cleaning Rates" variants (up to 22 days), "Term Deposit Rates for Seniors" (16 days), and two licence-free car angles. The takeaway: the keyword-arbitrage playbook — many cheap geo-specific variants, each mirroring a search query, monetized downstream. Volume of near-duplicates is the signature.

9. Yahoo Search — the network arbitraging itself

The Yahoo native sample is dominated by Yahoo's own "Search for superannuation," "Search for business insurance" and similar creatives — native ads feeding Yahoo's search results pages. The takeaway: search arbitrage is so structurally profitable that the platform runs it first-party. If you compete in these verticals on Yahoo inventory, you are bidding alongside the house.

10. SPECTRA by MHI — branded content with a long tail

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' content program runs "From trash to treasure: Waste to energy explained" (9 days) and "Methane: Tackling a rising climate priority" (34 days) on Outbrain. The takeaway: brand campaigns show their own longevity pattern — no direct-response funnel, but a 34-day run on an explainer signals a sustained awareness budget, not a test.

11. Fisher Investments — the evergreen question

"When Should You Retire?" had run 38 days at capture on the Microsoft Audience Network — among the longest-running creatives in the entire index. The funnel: a question hook into a gated retirement guide, feeding advisor lead gen. The takeaway: the most durable native ads are often the least clever. A question every reader over 50 already asks themselves needs no gimmick, and the longest-running ads skew heavily toward this kind of evergreen relevance.

12. Expert Market — B2B lead gen dressed as gadget discovery

"This Tiny Device Lets You Track Vehicles Using Your Smartphone" — 38 days at capture on the Microsoft Audience Network. The consumer-gadget framing feeds a business fleet-tracking comparison funnel. The takeaway: repackaging a B2B offer as consumer curiosity widens the top of the funnel, and the qualification happens on the lander instead of in the headline.

What the twelve have in common

Winners get duplicated, not admired. Tri-Lift, SmoothSpine and Health Weekly all scaled by cloning a proven structure across networks or conditions.

Creative sets leak strategy. Flight Centre's price test, Loop of Now's variant farm and Georgetown's three-angle spread are all visible in the capture data.

Longevity separates campaigns from experiments. The 38-day runners (Fisher, Expert Market) are systems; the 0–3 day captures are tests, most of which will disappear.

The funnel explains the creative. Lead-gen campaigns buy question hooks; arbitrage buys volume; brands buy explainers. Read the full funnel, not just the ad.
